Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation operations efficiently and effectively. In this vital role, you will serve as the central communication hub, ensuring timely dispatching of freight, managing logistics workflows, and maintaining seamless coordination between drivers, carriers, and clients. Duties

• Coordinate and schedule freight pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, carriers, vendors, and customers via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Input data accurately into logistics platforms like AS400 and Transportation Management Systems to support shipping & receiving operations.
• Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays, providing solutions to improve overall supply chain performance.
• Manage dispatching activities for freight movement, including fleet management and 3PL (third-party logistics) coordination.
• Maintain detailed records of shipments, driver logs, incident reports, and communication logs for compliance and reporting purposes.

Requirements

• Proven experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, and transportation planning tools to facilitate efficient dispatching.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating logistics data and optimizing freight routes.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and 3PL operations.
• Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy using systems like AS400 or SyteLine.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Preferred qualifications include experience with logistics software such as Transportation Management Systems or Oracle Transportation Management; understanding of supply chain principles; strong typing skills; and familiarity with freight operations within a transportation management context. Pay: $23.84 – $26.72 per hour
